Job Title:  Team Lead Cognos Developer / Administrator

Job Description

The Data and Analytics BI platform team is primarily responsible for the smooth operation of Cognos, Tableau and Looker platforms. We are looking for a candidate to join a dynamic team with a strong technical background and love for business intelligence and analytics.

Develop, implement, maintain, and support a business intelligence strategy using Cognos products; Install, configure, and upgrade Cognos server software; Design and implement Cognos report and cube solutions that address defined business needs; Support the development and training of Cognos power users within corporate business units; Administer the publishing of all approved Cognos reports and Cubes for company access; Provide technical support to the Cognos power users; Document Cognos standards and procedures and provide production support; Implement and maintain Cognos security; Interface with Cognos Corporation for technical support; Create and maintain scripts and evaluate new releases of software; Cognos software installations, Cognos Configuration set ups, Portal Customizations, User security set up in Active Directory, Creation of Content Store and Audit databases and configuration, etc.; Proficient with software industry system validation requirements and experience in developing necessary documentation to ensure regulatory compliance;

Job Requirements

• 6+ years’ experience with product implementation and administration of Cognos with concentration on BI Analytics 11.0.7 server versions
• Basic Knowledge of and experience using the Cognos suite of products, including but not limited to, Administration Console, Data server connections, Content Management, Framework Manager, Transformer, Auditing, and Monitoring
• Experience using Windows 2012/2016/2019 OS Servers
• Basic understanding of various database platforms, including Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server and Teradata
• Practical experience of basic SQL skills
