Job Description

General Description

As a Lead Oracle and Golden Gate Database Administrator, you will be part of a dynamic global team delivering and supporting technologies to meet the growth needs of the business. You will be involved in database projects that will optimize current services as well as work on building next generation cloud infrastructure for the global production environment. You will collaborate with the Development teams to ensure the designed service is fully operational with streamlined processes and procedures for ongoing support and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and grow distributed databases with complex crosssite data replication topology.

Work with product engineering teams to design and optimize databases to ensure data consistency and reliability.

Resolve production issues including tuning, optimization and recovery.

Perform installation, upgrades, capacity planning, migration across multiple data centers and multiple database server architectures/systems.

Proactively monitor and fix databases availability and performance issues.

Implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery solution to maximize database availability during planned or unplanned outages.

Use/Develop database automation tools to automate repetitive tasks.

Respond appropriately to emergency support situations and produce quick and effective solutions to technical problems under high pressure.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Experienced in Oracle RAC

Experienced in Database Replication technologies (e.g. Golden Gate and Data Guard.Must have strng Oracle GoldenGate background

             Experienced in solving GoldenGate issues such like abended, lagging, long transaction issues.

‪Advanced knowledge of ‪SQL, PL/SQL and any of scripting languages used to automate DB related tasks

Linux system administrator skills. Database performance tuning and troubleshooting

Experienced in managing database objects, including tables, partitions, indexes, views, sequences. Experienced in setting up monitoring and alerting for database systems

Experienced with Linux system monitoring and analysis. Experienced in managing databases in AWS Cloud (RDS and EC2) with CloudFormation

Experienced in setting up database cluster, replication, backups, monitoring and SQL tuning. Technologyrelated bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills and experience. Selfstarter who is excited about learning new technology

 Exposure to security concepts / best practices. Must be willing to work oncall as part of regular work schedule or off hours when required.

Experienced in any of MariaDB, MySQL or PostgreSQL. Experienced in any of NoSQL technologies such as Couchbase, MongoDB, Redis or Cassandra.

Knwledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager and its repository views

Experience in Oracle APEX Applicatin development

Kn0wledge / Experience with storage administration
