Job Description

Job Description - Supervisor Software Engineering

Payment processing and fraud prevention play a crucial role in today’s e-commerce solutions across several industries.  Sabre’s Payment Solutions team supports the needs of Sabre’s customers in this area by providing a comprehensive set of Web Services to all Sabre’s Point of Sale (POS) and other internal applications, as well as to multiple external vendors.  We are now looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Supervisor Software Engineering to perform the following duties:

  • Supervises software application development activities - oversees the analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of computer programs for payment solutions in travel industry
  • Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies
  • Develops and is accountable for the budget for a work group and/or project.
  • Assist in development of software technical documentation, training, and participates in software demonstration.
  • Facilitates activities for Scrum teams

Job Requirements


  • Minimum 5 years related experience with at least 2 years of prior management/ supervisory or other leadership experience required
  • Ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to delegate work to subordinate employees
  • Good Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in software development using Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Good knowledge of SDLC
  • Technical skills – Knowledge of Java, Databases, Webservices and Object-Oriented Design principles.


 Nice to have:

  • Technical skills – Software development experience using Java or other Object-Oriented languages
  • Knowledge or experience in Microservices/Cloud architecture is a definite plus!



Education:  Bachelor's or equivalent.


Preferred Majors: Computer Science or equivalent
