Job Description

We are recruiting a Technical Product Manager for the Network Planning Solutions BLR team. The team is developing and maintains Optimization solutions (Profit Manager, Fleet Manager & Network Manager) and Schedule Lite (web Schedule Manager) which are part of wider NPS suite. NPS solutions enable 90+ airlines with planning & scheduling capabilities while allowing optimize schedules for demand/cost/profitability, maintain operational feasibility, and publication capability to multiple downline systems. The existing application with Java SWING client is delivered both as hosted and on premise. There is an ongoing priority to migrate whole suite to web front served by micro services at backend – with Schedule Lite to be released in ‘23. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Product subject matter expert (SME) inside scrum team
•    Interact with Product Management, Customer Care, Delivery, Development Team, and eventually Clients to define detailed requirements and perform in-depth analysis of possible solutions
•    Understand, interpret, and translate business requirements from Product Management team into necessary design and documentation (user stories), for scrum team consumption
•    Preparation of scrum team acceptance criteria to allow Development Team to estimate the most accurate
•    Performing backlog creation, refinement, and prioritization
•    Overviewing and facilitating production issues triaging process
•    Ongoing alignment to Operational Model 2 backlog requirements
•    Creation and update of functional documentation
•    Acceptance/sign off of team stories at completion
•    Demos (internal or external, as needed, mostly internal)
•    Scrum ceremonies attendance
•    Coworking with Development Team on daily basis to remove road blockers
•    Evaluate technical options to solve customer problems and product gaps
•    Assistance in problem solving in both development and production environments
•    Product specifications and functional gap analysis
•    Partner with project team during CVT cycle and cutovers
•    Coordinate with other TPMs to ensure product integration and consistent design
•    Analyze, Triage, and troubleshoot maintenance issues (3rd level support) along with Product Managers, Delivery Experts and Customer Care analysts

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Functional knowledge of Sabre Profit Manager and Fleet Manager (Good to have)
•    High level understanding of airline network planning and scheduling practices
•    Familiar with applications of Operations Research to airline management generally, and/or network planning specifically
•    Experience in business analysis – prefer 8+ years
•    Excellent communications skills (in English) 
•    Analytical skills – ability to analyze complex business operations and convert into tasks for the development team 
•    Ability to quickly learn new areas within the Travel industry 
•    Ability to work in international and multi-discipline team of professionals 
•    A true team player  
•    Master storyteller and story mapper
•    Technical writing skills, documentation experience 
•    Analytical and decisive - balance technical innovation, technical debt, ongoing support
•    Experience working in and leading Agile/Scrum teams
•    Working knowledge of IATA manual, web services, XML, JSON
•    Skills to create mockups for development team
•    Host systems knowledge – understanding of host commands 
•    Experience working with diverse development team and applications
•    Can receive general direction on assignments with minimal review
•    Customer and user focused thinking
•    Ability to explain technical concepts and functionalities to non-technical people
•    Able to perform risks assessments and exercise independent judgemen
