This position is in the Airline Solutions Ecommerce team at Sabre and entails working in a  fast paced dev/ops environment dealing with high availability systems tasked with providing system support, change authoring and deployments. What we do?

  • Work with development teams to analyze, evaluate and design alternatives and to implement process improvements
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, debug and assist in problem solving in both development and production environments
  • Make system more robust - monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance
  • Determines tools needed to support system health, monitor system performance, develop and maintain performance monitoring and error tracking operational tools.
  • Develop and maintain tools that support and automate processes for hardware or software product release including: installation/packaging/deployment scripts, environment configuration scripts
  • Support for infrastructure build out and continues integration / delivery environments
  • Work closely with multiple internal groups, which include Development, System Owners, Incident Management & GNOC
  • Assist System owners with Run-books and E2E documentation.
  • Update Operational Documentation (e2e, monitoring, support)
  • Support GNOC with (Tier 3) Operational Support services which include investigation and incident resolution.

 

Job Requirements

Essentials:

  • Managing Unix/Linux system
  • Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Java applications
  • Good knowledge of scripting languages – like Perl, Python, Shell scripting etc.
  • Familiarity with Monitoring and Alerting tools
  • Development on Cloud Based Infrastructures 
  • Understanding of network fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English language
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

 

Nice to have skills/experience: 

  • Knowledge of tools like Docker, Mulesoft, Openstack,  Maven, Ansible, Jenkins and User experience in GIT
  • Experience with complex, high-availability systems, and Capacity Planning and Change Management
  • ITSM/ITIL experience
  • Experience with Runbooks
  • SQL Query Skills – basic Oracle or MYSQL
