Job Description – Senior Software Engineer

  • Working with business to understand their requirements and pain points.
  • Translates business requirements into solution designs including functional and technical specifications and recommended process changes
  • SAP ABAP technical coding skills preferred
  • Must be able to read code, test and debug
  • Leads design and coding of applications using routine and/or advanced technology
  • Responsible for data conversions, testing activities, and aspects of reporting
  • Possesses an understanding of system architecture and makes recommendations that facilitate stability
  • Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • May assist in development of software technical documentation.
  • Manages work in an Agile environment utilizing Rally.
  • Demonstrates software.

Desired Competencies

  • Extensive understanding and knowledge with hands on experience of the technical and functional aspects of SAP BRIM including, but not limited to: primarily SD and SOM with a secondary focus on CC and CI.
  • Extensive understanding of technical aspects of SAP S/4 Hana: Data dictionary, BAPIs, BAdIs, user-exits, enhancement framework, and debugging
  • Extensive understanding of different Form solutions such as Smart Forms and Adobe Forms.
  • Demonstrates broad and detailed knowledge with hands on experience of the sales and distribution (SD) Order Management area for S/4 Hana including but not limited to: Order Processing and complex Pricing Procedures with ability to code pricing routines.
  • Demonstrates broad knowledge of technical solutions.
  • Ability to manage the details of assigned tasks and deliverables
  • Ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate cross-functionally with both business and technical partners 
  • Works under minimal supervision on complex tasks and may assist less experienced peers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exercises independent judgment
  • Highly skilled with extensive proficiency
  • Ability to work in an Agile development environment
  • Establishes metrics and checkpoints to track quality and performance and takes accountability for organizational results.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Minimum 5 years SAP SD and ABAP Experience
  • Minimum 1 year SAP BRIM Experience
  • At least three (3) full cycle SAP implementations

Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. May assist in development of software technical documentation. Demonstrates software. Demonstrates broad knowledge of technical solutions. Designs and codes complex applications using advanced technology.
