ABOUT THE ROLE

 

Sabre is growing its NDC Consulting team within the Professional Services and Consulting organization and has several consulting positions available to the right candidates.    The consultants will work with leading airlines across the globe to define and execute their Retailing, Ancillary, and NDC strategy.   The successful candidates will also play a vital role in defining the NDC Consulting strategy and growing the business.

 

Duties include:

  • Define and develop offering.
  • Business development including identifying new customers based on profiles
  • In-depth research, client interviews and process reviews to formulate and quantify recommendations
  • Deliver high quality customer focused engagements leading to ongoing customer relationships
  • Conduct ideation and discovery workshops to identify and prioritize revenue opportunities and next steps required for progress
  • Communicate value of expanding retailing objectives of ancillary product(s) with corporate objectives across all relevant business stakeholders
  • Work with airline customers to assess current practices, benchmark for improvement areas, identify specific improvement opportunities, and assist in implementing recommendations
  • Socializing analyses with key stakeholders and present final recommendations and impact analysis to executive management, often C-level
  • Coordinate across large sabre network
  • Keep up to date on the landscape of future retailing models and technology for future roadmap opportunities including segmentation, personalization, and dynamic offers
  • Identify future consulting offerings and develop appropriate business case justification to present to Customer

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

 

The NDC Consultant will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • 3+ years of experience in airline commercial environment in the areas of Distribution, Travel Retailing, Ancillary Product Management, eCommerce, or Pricing and Revenue Management. NDC experience will be a plus.
  • Familiar with ancillary management across Product, User Experience, Technology, and Distribution teams
  • Familiarity with Sabre or other PSS (passenger service system) capabilities and end-to-end airline business processes (which processes?)
  • Knowledge of airline direct and indirect distribution channel strategies and processes
  • Strong listening skills to understand the customer’s situation, challenges and opportunities in often ambiguous and complex business and cultural environments.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with an interest in optimization strategies, forecasting, customer buying behavior and the ability to see beyond the numbers to present and recommend strategic options for driving improvement in retailing, distribution and fulfillment in the relevant market environment
  • Comfortable working with and presenting to airline executive and senior management teams and / or large audiences
  • Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to quantify financial impacts of business or technical recommendations
  • Willingness and ability to travel 75% of the time and be away from home up to 2-3 weeks at a time during projects
