Job Description

Fulfillment delivers and maintains applications that handle issuance of a series of fulfillment documents (EMDs, air tickets, others), as well as exchanges, refunds, and reporting of such fulfilled transactions for Sabre’s customers across all channels and segments. Our applications are critical to the company, so stability is very important to us.

What you will be doing

Technical Product Manager communicates customer needs, technical, and business requirements to the team. Help managing scrum team’s backlog and support requests, prioritize them in agreement with product management commitments. According to product vision, accepts team’s work and provides input into release decisions in conjunction with key stakeholders. Offers the functional knowledge necessary for the delivery of the best product.

Individual Accountabilities:

  • Product subject-matter expert (SME) inside scrum team
  • Scrum team stories, acceptance criteria, backlog creation, refinement, prioritization
  • Functional documentation
  • Acceptance/sign-off of team stories at completion
  • Demos (internal or external, as needed)
  • Scrum ceremonies attendance
  • Guidance to scrum team on functional requirements

Additional Tasks Include:

  • Analyze, triage and troubleshoot maintenance issues
  • Provide day-to-day support to scrum teams
  • Translate customer requirements and product roadmap to manageable backlog
  • Act as primary point of contact for scope elaboration
  • Be involved throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line
  • Collaborate primarily with scrum teams, product manager, and other stakeholders as necessary, to deliver the products within the timeline and budget
  • Interface with customer as and when needed to discuss requirements

Job Requirements

•    10 years plus experience in travel/aviation domain.
•    Ticketing domain/industry knowledge/thorough understanding of travel agency business
•    System thinking, engineering rigor and technical acumen
•    Keeps a big-picture perspective by building functional and industry expertise necessary to help teams across Sabre perform effectively
•    Master storyteller and story mapper
•    Technical writing, documentation experience (user and API guides, functional specs) 
•    Analytical and decisive; balance technical innovation, technical debt, ongoing support
•    Takes a wholistic view of how products and platforms interact and work together
•    Experience working in and leading Agile/Scrum teams
•    Understanding of software development lifecycle processes 
•    Experience with Rally, Jira is an advantage
•    Ability to prioritize the work backlog and identify dependencies
