Job Title:  Principal Systems Planning & Mgmt

Location: 

Bangalore, Karnataka, IN

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for Unix/Linux Systems administration, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades and support in a large environment.

Strong understanding of infrastructure and related technologies (hardware, virtualization, networking)

Strong understanding and experience with AWS or GCP Cloud Platforms

Strong ability to write and manage scripts and utilities to enhance/automate day to day administration activities. Possess strong skills in any of the automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet or chef.

Working on projects independently

Under general direction, designs complex hardware and software solutions for production and development.

Coordinates with and drives projects with datacenter, development and production staff.

Manages outage and emergency situations with datacenter, development and production staff.

Advises architecture, product development and production environments on technical hardware and software issues.

Establish and enforce configuration management controls

Proposes and implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of systems.

Is primary contact for key applications and expert knowledge resource for production and development environments.

 

Qualification and Skills:

Minimum 7 year’s experience in systems administration for specific technologies/systems such as UNIX, Midrange, Networks and Computer Operations.

Advanced computer skills; good written and verbal communication skills

Advanced understanding in web-based architecture and development techniques.

Experience with orchestration/ automation tools such as Ansible and or Puppet

Experience working with AWS or GCP Cloud.

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work in an international team

Extensive Experience with RHEL Systems (v5/v6/v7)

Working with various ITIL processes.
