Job Description

Manager Solution Architecture

Sabre Automation Engineering is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting tools and patterns which increase operational visibility and process efficiency through automation. Areas include Event Management, Monitoring, Remediation and Software Currency. Members of this team are highly motivated with a passion for creative problem solving.

 

Position Summary:

  • Manages a team, ensuring team remains focused on priorities.
  • Defines team commitments and ensures they are delivered on time.
  • Deep technical experience in the area of application and infrastructure automation, with the desire to be hands on.
  • Designs solution based on requirements and existing processes and tools. Develops, implements and supports solution.
  • Stays current on industry trends and new technologies, including testing and evaluation.
  • Participates in Agile Scrum processes.


 

Job Requirements

Experience: 10-12 years

Critical Experience:

  • Common development patterns, including code reuse, APIs, feature flags and testing.
  • ServiceNow and ServiceNow platform development and orchestration.
  • JavaScript, Python, Shell scripting, PowerShell, Ansible.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure and OpenShift APIs.
  • Experience implementing automation in a large, complex IT environment while understanding the risks.
  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure technologies (Linux, Windows, load balancing, firewall, DNS).
  • Familiar with ITSM processes, particularly Change, Incident and Event Management.
  • Ability to learn quickly and creatively with minimal direction.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
